Cancer de la vulve (À propos de 28 cas)

The cancer of the vulva is a rare malignant disease , representing less than 5% of genital cancers . The aim of the study was to investigate the clinical, paraclinical , therapeutic and the prognostic of vulvar cancer. This is a retrospective study of 28 observations of vulvar cancers at the Regional Oncology Center HASSAN II – CHU MOHAMMED VI oujda- The majority of patients are multiparous and postmenopausal ( 42.9 % and 67.9 % respectively). The pruritus vulva is the most frequent revealing symptom (82.2%), It followed from afar by the perception of a vulva tumor (50% of the cases). The patients consult always late, after a time limit of evolution superior to 6 months in 16 cases (57.1%) All parts of the vulva may be affected , multifocal disease is the most common. The most common histological type is squamous cell carcinoma ( 92.9 %). The total vulvectomy with bilateral neck dissection was performed in 24 ( 85.7 % ) of cases. The most feared postoperative complication is represented primarily by infection of the lining that can lead to dehiscence . Recurrences are essentially locoregional occur mostly during the first year after initial treatment , they are often treated either by surgery or radiotherapy. Early diagnosis and prophylactic treatment of precancerous lesions will reduce the incidence of this cancer
