LA SEPTOPLASTIE ENDOSCOPIQUE (à propos de 18 cas)

Introduction: septoplasty is a common surgical procedure in ORL aimed primarily functional and allows the rehabilitation and correction of septal deviations responsible genes and alterations of nasal function. The main advantage of this technique is its ability to reduce morbidity because it offers a direct route focused on the deformation, improved visualization and magnification of the surgical field. The aim of our study was to analyze the clinical, surgical indications, surgical technique, results and postoperative complications of endoscopic septoplasty, and to report its advantages over conventional septoplasty. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive retrospective study of 18 patients who underwent endoscopic septoplasty collated in the ORL department from January 2010 to December 2015. We analyzed the clinical, surgical indications, surgical technique, results and postoperative complications Results: The average age of our series is 29 years, sex is the dominant male with a sex ratio = 3.5, nasal obstruction is a common symptom in our patients. Traumatic component is found at the examination in 78% of patients. No immediate post operative complications were noted. Late postoperative complications were noted septal puncture 5% and 5% residual deformation. Conclusion: The endoscopic septoplasty is a surgical technique which has many advantages over conventional septoplasty It ensures a magnification and better visualization of the nasal septum particularly its posterior part, and the deformation to be processed which allows a more secure embodiment of the surgical technique and the best anatomic and functional results with fewer complications.
