OSTEOTOMIE SCARF DANS LE TRAITEMENT CHIRURGICAL DE L’HALLUX VALGUS (A propos de 32 cas)

We present theresults of a studyinvolving 30 patients (32feet) operated for hallux Valgus by Scarfosteotomybetween 2007 and 2014. This is a retrospectivestudy. There are 28 women to 2 men with a meanage of 45years. For all patients, radiographicassessment standard has been asked to
photograph the face in charge, negative charge profile. The meanpreoperative phalangeal Valgus was 39 ° the metatarsus varus wasaverage of 18 ° and the distalmetatarsalarticular angle of 25 °. The resultswereevaluated in detail the classification of Kitaoka. The phalangeal Valgus wasmuchimprovedwith a mean value of 13 °. A correction of metatarsus varus (9 °) and the distal metatarsalarticular angle (11°) wasfound. The overallresultincluded 87 per 100 excellent and good results. There were18 % of complications (algodytrophy, superficial infection). Our resultswerecomparedwiththoseobtainedwith the Scarf technique in the variousseries in the literature. Our resultswasyieldssimilarresults, but withabetter correction of the AADM.The Scarfosteotomygives good functionalresults and radiologicalanatomy and canthereforetreat the hallux Valgus by a reliableprocedure.
