Introduction: Therapeutic education represents a major key in the care of type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetic children. The objective of our work consists in approving the use of TPE with diabetic children and to realize teaching aid for diabetic teenagers, families and medical teams. Equipment and methods: To realize our teaching support, we have set up specifications according to the quality requirements defined by the HAS, the INPES and the healthcare professionals. Results: Eventually, we came up with a booklet (to help with the management of the TPE sessions), and also some pamphlets on diabetes, emergency situations and daily management.We have also designed some booklets dedicated to selfmonitoring and annual control. Every document has been translated in Arabic, double checked and evaluated according to the quality requirements defined by the INPES. Conclusion:Therapeutic teaching aid can be really helpful to educate insulindependent children. According to their age, they can learn some vital information on how to manage their disease efficiently. Nevertheless, these data must be regularly updated and also tested periodically by the patients to see the consequences on a mid-term and on a long term basis.
