In our work, we studied the delivery of 200 fetal macrosomia during 5months from 1st January 2014 to 31 may 2014 in the labor room of maternity Souissi of the hospital center Ibn Sina , Rabat.
The results were as follows:
? The frequency of macrosomia represented 3, 54%.
? The profile of mother:
? Young: 20 ? 35ans.
? Multipart.
? Antecedent of macrosomia.
? Diabetic.
? Fat.
? Uterine height more or equal to 35cm.
? Mode of delivery:
? Caesarean was practiced in 36, 5% of cases
? The delivery was normal in 63, 5% of cases with:
? 40, 94% of spontaneous deliveries
? 19, 68% of artificial leech
? And midwifery forceps in 1, 58% of cases.
? The fetal consequences: Morbidity neonatal was 4 %,( traumatic lesions represented 50% of cases), while the mortality was observed in 1, 5 % of cases.
? The maternal consequences: Morbidity was of the order of 2,5% (hemorrhage of delivery represented 80% of cases). No cases of maternal death
